Hi guys...On tuesday, met wendy for dinner at Vivo's The Asian Kitchen...the food was not bad and was quite reasonably priced...and took some pics at the bay and walked around for a while...after that we bought some food back and headed home...First time wendy took more money out than me...haha...and I was kind of broke...haha...anyway it was all fun... =)

Hey everyone...wow its been almost a month since an update, a new record! haha...wanted to do it asap but a bit lazy...haha...ok anyway on friday just came back from Shanghai on a study trip...it was quite fun...haha...
Day 1: 15th September 2008
Reach the airport at about 6am and changed into the trip's t-shirt...after a while we checked in and boarded the plane...and took off, at about 1 plus we reach Shanghai...we waited for the bus for for like really long...and it was humid and stuffy...anyway after when we finally boarded the bus we went to the Oriental Pearl TV Tower...a little boring to tell you the truth...haha...then after that we went for dinner on this boat...the food was ok but slightly different from Singapore, so didn't really used to it...haha...after that we went to the bund...to view the night scenery...and it wasn't lighted up...then everything was quite black...so sianz man...haha...then when we went onto the bus heading to the cruise then the building was lit up...it was one of those things you go WTH! haha...ok then we went onto the cruise it was nice, we could see what everything was lit up this time compared to on the bund...after that we went to checked in to the hotel to rest for night...

Day 2: 16th September 2008
After breakfast, we left the hotel to LSC Group for the exchange...the room was a little small and we had to squeeze in...haha...then after touring the office, took some pics and left...we had lunch at some tribal place...haha...then we headed back to the hotel for another exchange with the SIIC speaker in a stuffy(no air-con room again...) so sian right? haha...then after changing we headed to for dinner and an acrobatics show...it was very exciting...let me tell you, it different from watching from your telly and being REALLY there...haha...it was not bad and after that we went back to the hotel.

Day 3: 17th September 2008
We left the hotel after breakfast...we went to Capitaland for the exchange...after that we left, I saw this place where they sold Hersery stuffs...and lot of that...the place even smelt like chocolate...hmm...haha...then it was lunch again...after that went to this like some Shanghai 2010 project thing...a little boring...haha...but some parts was amazing like they had a small model of the whole of Shanghai...haha...and had this virtual world which you didn't need 3D glasses and you could feel the simulation...cool huh?haha...then later we headed to the Cheng Huang Temple to do some shopping...I think that's the place I love the best...you could feel like you had been sucked back into time...you could feel that you were in some Tang Dynasty and it was the busiest part of town...and everyone was doing their shopping there...haha...after dinner it drizzle a little and we made our way back to the bus and went back to the hotel...

Day 4: 18th September 2008
As usual the daily routine and after that we headed to Shanghai University to view their campus...its really huge...we went into their gymnasium it was really big like there are 30 table tennis in one place, a gym and a dance studio...big right? after that went to their library which was about 7 levels, I think...then we went to their canteen to see their food...it cost $3, expensive? nope, its in RMB, so you practically had a meal under a dollar...how I wish it was NP...haha...then later we went to this restuarant where we had lunch with the Shanghai Uni Students...it was quite find but it felt like a matchmaking session man...I think the only thing lacking was the ringing of the bell to indicate to change table to know more partners...cause we had to sit alternatively but I felt bad cause like I didn't talk to the girl on my right...after that we left after the really lots of dinner lunch...I am embarassed man, the girl sitting on my left was Zhou Ye, suddenly the table was talking about holding chopsticks and she said I held my chopsticks like I was holding a paintbrush...haha...and she taught me how to hold it the right way...haha...after that we went to OCBC China to do an interview...it was quite funny...the side of the office had lots of cut pineapples lining the room...I think it was a new office and it was to remove the paint and new office smell? and after that we went to Nanjing Road to continue our shopping...didn't buy clothes just more food stuffs...and me, jacqueline, pei jiao and zi hui had haagen dazs some fondue thing...haha...as we slightly packed for time we kind of gobble the rest up...haha...and met up with the group and went for dinner...and later went back to the hotel to pack and rest...

5th Day: 19th September 2008
Last Day, we checked out of the hotel and headed to Qi Pu Road to do the last minute shopping, it was all clothes and had to bargain...so tiring man...haha...we were 10minutes late boarding the bus...psps to the others...but felt there weren't enough time to shop...so sianz man...haha...had mac on the bus and later reached the airport and then checked in and went inside to shop and the funny thing was I took so many boxes of food that I had a personal shop assistant catered to me...cool huh?haha...after that we headed to the gate and boarded the plane...at about 10 plus reached Singapore and after buying alcohol and perfume I went out to meet my family...at about 11 plus...and I guess that ended my study trip to Shanghai 2008! =)
The Finale...
One thing I can't stand there is they are allowed to smoke in air-conditioned place, which is damn stinky and they spit everywhere...so you have to look on the floor when walking...I called them the little landmines...so better be careful...and I learnt one lesson: NEVER WEAR COURT SHOES WHEN GOING SHOPPING!!! It kill you legs...cause we didn't have time to change shoes and if we bring along, its quite heavy and takes up a lot of space, so no choice have to wear...haha...anyway gtg now...see ya guys...take care... X)
