A Wake Up Call...

Thursday, September 20, 2007  1:04 PM

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANDRIL!!! MAY ALL YOUR WISHES COME TRUE...

Hi everyone...today didn't do much...this morning was damn hot that woke up at 3am then used my laptop and watched tv until 7 then slept till 1.30pm...haha...long right?anyway watch even more tv and use the com...anyway was watching this taiwanese show, every week they will invite 3 guest to the show and the audience will be a group of university students...yesterday one guy came who came was that he was a contact juggler which was damn cool so tempting to learn...anyway the main subject is today's show...the three people who came were university students who not very well off...then this guy really impressed me...everything belonging to him is either provided by the school or given by friends...his family is so poor that they cannot clothes for him and he also have a younger brother who is in uni...anyway then just because he was coming on this show his mother gave him 1000NT (=S$45) to buy clothes...which was equivalent to one's month household expenses and have to work for his education...he also always eats the expired bread from the convenient store as it is free...he is also a sportsman who plays badminton and always faint during practices...o before I forget, the racket is given to him by the school as he is in the school team and his shoes will usually spoil so he have to mend it himself...on his way to the to the studio he lost his phone which cost only 500NT...after watching the show,it was damn 'qi liang' lar...

I guess it did give me a wake up call...to think that something that we buy can actually make up for someone else's household expenses...and one thing he said did made me very touched "even though I am not well off,I don't feel poor at all as my mum love me very much which makes me very wealthy"...so maybe I guess all of us(including me) should think that are we taking things for granted?or spending on things we do not need?anyway just think about it...gtg now...see ya soon...take care friends... =)
